New project in Asador Ibaiondo.

To hinder is the verb that best defines the purpose of the pieces that we have designed with Verno Design to improve the customer experience at Asador Ibaiondo.

The main characters of this latest work are space dividers. These have been installed in the furniture that forms barriers between the tables of the premises. At our shoulders’ height, these dividers create a visual barrier that hinders eye contact between diners and even takes advantage of the acoustic absorption properties of vegetable fibers — fibers that do not require any maintenance or special care after their installation—to fade the sounds of other conversations and echoes from the environment. Acoustic absorption is not the only thing that exploits this piece of craftsmanship. We have tilted the thermometer of space towards an enveloping warmth that springs from the vibrant golden yellow color of the utilized vegetable fibers.

The backlighting brings the piece to the fore and, to take advantage of this, each space divider has been assigned one, creating a light effect that bathes the texture of the craft and also the atmosphere of the grill, thus, enhancing its aesthetic vigour. The emphasis applied by the light on each separator has awakened the pleasant sensation of in & out & in every table.

We can rise above the tables and appreciate a panoramic view of the decoration of the space, where the separators have their own discourse and, together, create a geometric scheme enlivened by the light, resulting in a kind of labyrinth of color.

This project makes visible one of our pieces from the category of space dividers. Our design portfolio includes several sketches of different space dividers. Some are characterized by their geometric accent. Others highlight the ability to amplify the sensation of volume in space. In any case, we have different solutions for different clients, styles and requirements.
