The tailor-made service confidence.
We could take different approaches on projects with similar characteristics, but the differences don't change the general process we follow on all of them. Broadly, there are a series of steps that we carry out until we start with each client's project.
Information gathering and co-creation. Every project begins with the collection of information about the context of the project and the client. Information is the basis of any good craft product that is custom designed. We need to know the objectives of the project, the pieces that you think are necessary, their characteristics, the expected results, the inspirations and concepts brought to nurture the project.
The information comes from meetings between us and the clients. This format is usually based on a two-way dialogue where our role is to understand the project and the pieces to be created as well as, sometimes, to guide the conversation toward a potentially successful craft or crafts.
With a previous investigation of cultural elements, emerging trends in the sector and knowledge of techniques and materials, we provide ideas and suggestions. This prior study serves to stimulate the client's creativity. And, with the information collected, we lay the foundations to achieve our main objective with the client: to create non-transferable pieces so that the identity of the project is visible and coherent.
This was the process we followed in the Atocha Madrid boutique hotel project from the Tapestry Collection by Hilton. They wanted to integrate the cultural richness of the old “espartizal” area located in Atocha —where the hotel is located— and turn it into the theme of the hotel. To reflect this cultural value in our work, we conducted research on the most recognizable and significant cultural symbols, which became their current setting.
